Pie and ice cream. Peanut butter and jelly. Red wine and chocolate. These are all foods that pair perfectly together. Turns out the Downtown Medford Association and The Chamber of Medford & Jackson County pair well together, too. What? Yes, it is true!
This month I decided to branch out from my monthly dining review for Downtown Medford and instead I went to the monthly Chamber Forum / luncheon at the Rogue Valley Country Club. Just like pie and ice cream, you can enjoy both (the Chamber and DMA) separately, but when you pair them together it is yum, yum. The Chamber is all about business throughout Medford, just like ice cream is good on cake, with pie, and all by itself. The DMA restaurants and businesses are like pies, lots of great choices all with their own texture and variety. Pick a place to eat or shop and try it…and you will be pleasantly surprised by what you “taste.”
The monthly Chamber Forums / luncheons are a good habit to adopt if you are a business person or a member of the community, so put the Forum on your schedule, but remember to EAT, SHOP and BE MERRY in Downtown the rest of the month!
The Forum / luncheon is monthly at the country club, usually the third Monday of the month. For a large crowd the meal is more than decent and is served efficiently, and the luncheon affords a great opportunity to network. On top of all that, you learn about the community and business from the live presentations.
While you are there next time at the Forum, mention a DMA business that you like to your fellow table mate. It is a great ice breaker.
I have included a picture of my half-eaten plate of food and of the attending crowd so you can see, it is a full house.
