“I wasn’t looking to buy a restaurant, but my favorite thing to do when out of town is go to piano bars. I heard Chris Dennett was ready to move on, so I bought Elements from him,” said Brenda Watson, whose career has been in the mental health field. “Chris has been a great mentor,” added Brenda.
Brenda is not turning the popular restaurant into a piano bar, but she is planning to have events in what was the banquet room – including Dual Pianos, winemaker dinners, whiskey tastings, Prohibition Night – and the excitement goes on.

The bar will be about the same as it has been but will showcase some high-end rare bourbons. Some local wines will be featured on the wine list, and more mocktails will be available to appeal to the new wave of “Sober Curious.”
Tapas will still be major on the food menu. “I love the shared plate concept,” said Brenda.
A serious renovation has taken place, with Alpha Construction and Zenith Painting Company doing most of the work. The whole kitchen has been redone, and guests will be greeted with updated décor – “a little modern, but ‘loungie’ and social friendly where people can gather together and share plates,” said Brenda. A new floor has been installed, the walls have been painted, and new furniture in grays, browns, and some blues is being installed.
After being closed all of January for the remodel, Elements will reopen sometime this month. “We weren’t expecting to do this much, but we wanted to do it right,” said Brenda.
