People want . . .

staff review Downtown Master Plan information.
  • More Nightlife and Extended Business Hours
  • Gathering Spaces
  • Pedestrian-Friendly Streets
  • Retail and Dining Variety
  • More Community Events
  • More Parking Availability
  • Improved Safety and Cleanliness

These were among the main things people wanted to see happening in Downtown according to responses to a survey and information gathered at an open house held on a recent Third Friday. The information was gathered to help develop a Downtown 2040 Plan to incorporate into the City’s Comprehensive Plan.

Carla Paladino, Medford’s Interim Planning Director, gave a presentation on Medford’s 2040 Plan at our November Power Hour. The 2040 Plan will be written and completed by June 2025 and then will go through the formal adoption process into the summer.

Depending on how the implementation measures are written, the City of Medford and any other parties identified will help to implement the plan. The plan will be implemented after it is officially adopted into the City Comprehensive Plan and over the course of several years going forward.
