For those who appreciate a local pour–like Worker’s Pale from Walkabout–Gypsy Blues boasts an impressive and constantly rotating selection of craft drafts from our talented Medford breweries, the greater Rogue Valley, and across the state. Each visit promises a new discovery with a chance to enjoy the unique flavors that make our local beer scene so special. But the libations are just the beginning of Gypsy Blues’ charm.
Venture further inside and you’ll find a variety of fun options. The backdrop to this playful scene is whimsically “weird” decor that sparks conversation and adds to the bar’s unique personality. And for those who prefer to soak up the downtown ambiance, Gypsy Blues boasts a large and recently renovated outdoor area. This inviting space offers a perfect setting to relax, socialize, and enjoy the energy of our evolving downtown while savoring our amazing southern Oregon weather. Adding to the artistic landscape of our downtown streets is the large and beautiful mural of the Gypsy Blues logo adorning the side of their building – a vibrant piece that contributes to the growing downtown art aesthetic.
Beyond the captivating atmosphere and diverse offerings, Gypsy Blues is helmed by proprietors who are deeply invested in our community–Clay Bearnson and Robin Bittinger. They have continuously operated “The Gypsy” (as it is affectionately known in the community) for over 20 years, including relocating and expanding the establishment to the current Grape St location. Their ongoing commitment to downtown development shines through in the care and passion evident in every aspect of the bar as well as the volunteer time that they regularly invest in our community.
The menu at Gypsy Blues is as eclectic and engaging as its atmosphere. While you’ll find your favorite bar menu staples, prepare your palate for some delightful surprises. Gourmet hot dogs elevate a classic, while risotto balls and lasagna bites offer unexpected snacks. Gypsy Blues is open 11am – 2am Monday through Thursday, and 11am – 2:30am Friday to Sunday.
