Ali Leffler has been putting on events in the Rogue Valley for years: Six years for the Central Point Chamber, nine years for the Expo, recently for Butte Creek Mill, and her own company – Gather Production Company. Ali says she moved Gather into the space on Middleford Alley because “when I saw it, it just felt right; I have friends in the neighborhood (Sarah Kolb of Merc on Main and Nisha Mora of Rocky Tonk); and because Fred and Carol Phelps are the greatest landlords.”
Some of Gather’s upcoming large events include:
- Bites Snack & Treat Festival – June 20 & 21 at Medford Armory. A food festival featuring food trucks, catering companies, restaurants, treat vendors – all local/regional, all delicious.
- Fall Fest – October 17 & 18 at Rogue X. Harvest Festival with themed vendor market with fall activities, cornhole, food, carved pumpkin contest, and kids fall crafting.
- Mistletoe Market & Holiday Faire – November 7 & 8 at Rogue X. Holiday Shopping Event with 354 booths – Santa and Mrs. Claus, food, music.
- Merry Market & Christmas Faire – November 28-30 at Rogue X. Holiday Shopping Event, Santa & Mrs. Claus, gift wrapping, Holiday music, live theater performances, hands-on kids crafting, food trucks.
All of Gather’s events are family-oriented. Ali and her husband Scott have a blended family with 11 grown children and 11 grandchildren. “We’re very family-oriented. We like to put on events that women, men, and kids can all enjoy,” said Ali.
When asked what she likes most about putting on events, Ali said “Three things: Working with vendors to help them best represent themselves and their products, working with sponsors and getting them impressed with the vendors, and giving the community an opportunity to engage.”
Gather is also hosting Create and Maker Classes in their Middleford Alley space, including:
- Craft Supply Sale – Saturday, March 1, 11 am – 3 pm.
- Mommy & Me Morning – Wednesday, March 5, 10 – 11:30 am. Bring your little ones for creative craft time and connect with other parents.
- Big Kid Color Club – Thursday, March 13, 5-7 pm. An adult coloring session.
- Paint Your Partner – Thursday, March 27, 6:30-8 pm. A fun date night painting on canvas with appetizers and beverages.
