There’s always something happening at Grape Street! Every Wednesday – Saturday Grape Street is pouring some of Medford’s finest drinks and cocktails and serving delicious food like smashburgers and tacos. And even more exciting – they have entertainment of all types.

From DJs spinning tunes in their new DJ booth (on most Fridays and Saturdays), to live music, to female wrestlers, to male strippers, to pole dancing, to special ladies’ nights – Grape Street offers a wide variety of entertainment.

Wednesdays are special for two groups of entertainers and their followers. On the first and third Wednesday of each month, the Southern Oregon Blues Society takes over the stage with different headliners.

On the second and fourth Wednesdays, The Southern Oregon Jazz Orchestra fills the stage with their 16-piece band (and a vocalist) playing a mix of swing, Latin, and classic big band arrangements. The dance floor fills up, as well, with some professional-quality dancers as well as some who just love to “groove to the music.” Trumpeter Corren Hileman, who founded SOJO in 2008, is very appreciative of Grape Street for “giving us a chance to play big band music that people our age and our parents’ age remember. It’s one of the very few such spots in the Rogue Valley.”

Co-Owner, Kevin Husted

Grape Street is owned by Kevin Husted and Jeremy Foreman. Kevin handles the entertainment and food, and beverage aspects of the business, with Jeremy mainly working behind the scenes.

Grape Street is a big supporter of DMA. “I try to do something on Third Friday,” says Kevin about Grape Street’s special Third Friday events, which often include vendors selling such things as jewelry, art objects, hair tinsel, and henna tattoos. A very special Third Friday event took place in April when the whole evening was dedicated to women – female staff, female-oriented specials and vendors, etc., with a $3,000 portion of the evening’s proceeds going to Dunn House. “We will do that again,” says Kevin, who has a special place in his heart for Dunn House since he and his mother spent time in a similar shelter during his childhood.

Kevin is also a downtown building owner – he owns the building on East Main that houses ReFashion Consignment Shop and formerly housed Rogue Valley Anglers. He is looking for just the right new tenant for the former Anglers space – a tenant that will complement our downtown business mix.

When asked what he sees in the near future for Downtown Medford, Kevin replied, “a change to the current parking/bike lane situation – what we have now is dangerous – more friendly shops to walk to and patronize, and continued improvement in the homeless situation.”

DMA is proud to honor Grape Street as our Featured Partner and thanks Kevin for his support and involvement in Downtown Medford.
