Central Art has been at their 101 N Central location since 1981. Dan and Ann Ebert have owned the business since 1998 after buying it from Dan’s parents George and Winnie Ebert. When they bought the business, Dan and Ann had four children. They added five more, making a total of nine. Dan and Ann worked the business with babies on their backs. Those babies grew up and worked in the business earning money for college and are now all on their own and making their parents proud.
Dan and Ann love being downtown. “We are a regional destination store. Our store brings people from all over the region to downtown. The college and restaurants also help bring people to our store,” said Dan.
“The City of Medford has been good to downtown businesses,“ said Dan. “The Livability Team has been great in handling the homeless problem,” added Ann.
As for DMA, (they should) “Keep doing what they’re doing – baskets, lights, and communicating – one of DMA’s biggest strengths. DMA cares about downtown. It’s good to see people involved,” said Dan.
“We love participating in Third Fridays. We love being part of the community and sharing our passion for art,” said Ann.
Central Art is open Monday – Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 10am-5pm.
